Philosopher and queer activist,
born in Burgos, Spain (1970), Preciado achieved an honours
degree in Philosophy from the University of Comillas
before gaining a Masters in Contemporary Philosophy
and Gender Theory at the New School for Social Research
in New York, where she studied with Agnes Seller and
Jacques Derrida.
Currently undertaking her
doctorate in Philosophy and Architectural Theory at
Princeton, Preciado is also the author of Manifiesto
contrasexual (2000), acclaimed by the French critics
as one of the most influential and provocative intellectual
works of the new century.
She is also the author of
many articles among which: "Multitudes Queer"
(Multitudes 12, Paris 2003), "Basura y Género",
(Eseté, Donostia, 2004) "Savoirs_Vampires@War"
(Multitudes 20, Paris 2005), "Pornotopia: Pornography
and Architecture in Playboy Houses" (Cold War /Hot

She teaches in different
Spanish and foreign Universities including Paris VIII
University, Saint Denis (France) and heads the workshop
of Genre Technologies in the Independent Studies Program
of the Museum of Contemporary Art in Barcelone (Spain).
She has recently published T Junkie (Espasa Calpa) in
Spanish which will be published in French (Grasset)
in September 2008.
